VARTA OPzV batteries are maintenance free, valve-regulated lead-acid batteries using GEL-technology. These single cells are specifically suitable for applications with discharge periods of 1h to 20h and highest demand of security, reliability and lifetime. Typical applications where mainte — nance-free operation is required are safety power supply systems for telecommunication equipment and industrial installations, also emergency power supply systems for lighting, automation and measuring systems. VARTA OPzV batteries are also designed for use in applications with frequent discharges like energy storage in photovoltaic solar systems.
