Synchronous SDH multiplexer SL64
Synchronous multiplexer SL64 is an ultra-compact synchronous multiplexer providing add/drop and terminal functionality along with 10 Gbit/s line capacity. With its comprehensive features, it supports versatile high-capacity solutions for your backbone or regional/metropolitan rings.
System architecture
SL64 provides multiplexing and line capabilities for point-to-point, ring, star, and meshed topologies and a vast range of efficient features in one common platform:
- Wide variety of interfaces, ranging from intra-office to 160 km: GbE (1000BaseSX/LX), Fast Ethernet (100BaseTX), cost-efficient very short reach (VSR), STM-16, STM-4, STM-1, colored DWDM interfaces with tunable lasers for up to 160 wavelengths, STM-64 with build-in FEC;
- Virtual and contiguous concatenation with concatenation conversion;
- Configurable as a terminal multiplexer for efficient point-to-point links, or as an add/drop multiplexer providing full add/drop capabilities for all topologies;
- Unrestricted non-blocking switching matrix with 256 x STM-1 switching capacity (VC-4 granularity) and 20 Gbit/s add/drop capacity;
- All types of SDH protection: MS-SPRing (BSHR), 1+1MSP, SNC/P, complete equipment protection, low priority traffic, drop & continue;
- Single-fiber operation on line and tributary interfaces.
