As you know, the Governmental Program of Communication Development in the Republic of Belarus for the years 2007-2010 provides for a considerable increase in the amount of services rendered by the operators on the ground of networks extension and modernization. One of the declared foreground tasks is the technical re-equipment of the networks with the maximum employment of the domestically produced equipment. In addition, the Governmental Program of Innovative Development of the Republic of Belarus for the years 2007-2010 charges SVIAZINFORMSERVICE LLC with the following task “Creation of an enterprise for production of telecommunication equipment for fixed and mobile communication”.

 

SVIAZINFORMSERVICE LLC (SIS) has been developing the domestic manufacture of telecommunication equipment since 2004. Long-term partnership with the enterprises of German concern Siemens AG and (since 2007) with joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks made it possible not only to organize the production based on the advanced European technologies and to set up logistics of components, but also to form the staff of highly qualified specialists that produce the items in accordance with the world standards. The range of the equipment being produced is constantly growing.

 

Herewith, please, be informed that in pursuance of the aforementioned Governmental Program of Innovative Development SIS in the course of the second half of the year 2007 was optimizing the business processes of domestic manufacture. By the 1^st of January, 2008, this rearrangement work was finished. As a result of this, Telecommunication Systems Production Department and Communication Facilities Production Department from the structure of SIS were united into a separate company — Private Production Unitary Enterprise “Production of Telecommunication Systems” (by Minsk city executive committee decision No 1436 dated 28.06.2007 registered in the Common Public Register under No 190843577, at the address: ul. Volgogradskaya 6, building 2, room 6, 220023 Minsk, Republic of Belarus). 

 

Within the framework of this process SIS handed over the basic production facilities, manufacturing areas, design and technical documentation for the items to private enterprise “Production of Telecommunication Systems” (PTS). The employees of SIS participating in the production output have been wholly transferred to PTS for production output in the frameworks of the new company. In January, 2008, the Ministry of Communication reissued to PTS all the certificates of conformity that were previously issued to SIS, the corresponding certificates of Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for domestically manufactured products were obtained as well. You can be provided with the copies of the certificates at any time convenient for you.

 

Thus, since 2008 private enterprise “Production of Telecommunication Systems” has been the manufacturer of telecommunication equipment within the framework of SVIAZINFORMSERVICE group of companies. The repair of the equipment is to be implemented by PTS specialists as well. Taking into consideration the fact that SIS is the sole founder and owner of PTS assets, our organization has reserved the exclusive rights for sales of all the products manufactured by PTS, i.e. SIS acts as competitive tendering bidder and contracting party in regard to the equipment produced by PTS (in case of participating with domestically produced equipment).

 

Please, be informed as well that all existing obligations with regard to warranty and post-warranty service under the contracts in force remain within the competence of SVIAZINFORMSERVICE LLC".
